The couple Aleksandr Soldatov and Vera Soldatova moved into an ancient manor located in the agrotown of Raitsa, Korelichi District, Grodno Oblast 12 years ago. Vera is a straw weaving artist while Aleksandr paints icons. The couple was initially granted the ownership of the house for the sake of setting up a cultural institution there. The house was converted into a straw weaving museum. A large exhibition hall is the heart of the house now. The couple bought out the manor five years later and is now redecorating it while trying to preserve the authenticity of the building, which is nearly 210 years old. There is a most beautiful park outside the house. Pictured is Vera Soldatova.
